PRESS RELEASE

Online magazine investigating the corruption within modern spiritual teachings.

ORLANDO, Florida, February 03, 2014
Unlike contemporary magazines that promote new-ageism, neo-advaita or non-dualism, this magazine sets out to shine a light on the negative impact of teachers and teachings within those movements.

The editors behind the magazine were the first to break the Fred Davis story – the non-dual teacher charging $750.00 for enlightenment who was discovered to be hiding his history as a sex offender. Many voices within the non-duality online community attempted to bury the issue quickly and attack the people who broke the story.

The editors decided to write and publish a one time free magazine online to make a moral stand against the creeping moral obfuscation taking place within current spiritual circles. The aim being to provide some sort of moral compass for readers where none seems to exist in the teachers or their teachings.

Jonathan, one of the magazine supporters, says: “The paranoia and fear generated by the premiere of the first issue shocked us. Our overriding interest is in making factual information available to spiritual seekers where it may otherwise be obscured: what they do with that information is their choice.”

In one month the magazine has already generated over 150,000 hits, 4000 subscriptions and hundreds of emails.

With responses pouring in from worldwide, people have written to the staff with stories of scandals, heartbreak, and financial devastation from teachers and leaders in  spiritual communities and dangerous cults.

“Our objective is to encourage people to tell their stories and not keep silent” says Debbie Van Neste.

The first issue was free but now has been discontinued as the team of Guruethics, are changing the direction and marketing of their publication.  They are grateful for their humble beginnings and hope to serve and educate in the years and issues to come.
